The project was created during a study of the new construction area in Astana. The new Nura district was built on the site of the filled-in Taldykol Lake. Various species of birds, including those listed in the Red Book, used to stop at this lake during their winter migration. Residents of the new district still remember the swans and ducks on the lake as if they still live there. The memory of the birds in the area has become phantom. During the walking art practice, material was collected and used to create a series of portraits of the birds in the area.
